We are currently hiring for a HGV mechanic to grow our expanding team, based at our workshop in County Derry/ L’Derry, you’ll carry out mechanical servicing and repairs on a range HGV, trailers and lorries.
The role of HGV Mechanic at Claina is to increase productivity and efficiency within our busy workshop maintaining our fleet and customers fleets with inspections, MOT prep diagnostic work and fault finding, repairs and maintenance and assisting at breakdowns and recording essential maintenance paperwork.

The Role:
Mechanical maintenance, servicing and repairs on Heavy Good Vehicles
Carry out vehicle inspections and complete relevant paperwork
Vehicle preparation for PSV or Hire Contracts
Diagnose faults and take corrective action
Remove and replace vehicle parts
Effective and efficient repair of vehicle systems
Ability to work within time frames
Work with colleague and supervisors effectively
Work in line with company policy and health & safety
Who we are looking for:
Qualified Level 3 Vehicle Mechanic (HGV) or equivalent
Full valid UK Driving License
HGV licence preferable but not essential
Workshop experience
Computer literate
Able to fault find and diagnose
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment
Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
High standard of work, quality and safety practice
